Professional Development
To help retail employees enhance their computer and business skills, the Retail Merchants Association reimburses retail member companies one-half of the cost up to $100 per seminar for their employees to take one- and two-day computer and management / workplace development seminars offered at most Virginia public colleges and universities .
This is an attractive benefit and an excellent retention tool that is offered as a benefit of your membership in the Retail Merchants Association.
Guidelines
- Each retail member company is eligible to be reimbursed one-half of the cost for up to five seminars per year (January - December).
- The maximum reimbursement per seminar is $100.
- This program is available on a first-come first-serve basis with a maximum annual Association expenditure of $10,000.
- The member company pays the cost up front when the employee registers for the seminar.
- To receive reimbursement, send a copy of the student’s receipt signed by a designated company representative with your company name and mailing address.
